Stefan is conducting a long-term experiment: the family sold the car 5 years ago. As a commuter and in his free time, he relied on his Pendix bike as a means of transportation. In the meantime, children have joined the family, so that a bicycle trailer is now also part of the family's equipment. Thanks to the electric support from Pendix, the additional weight is no problem. You can read about the advantages, disadvantages and conclusion of the Pendix on Stefan's blog.
The beloved 28-year-old touring bike was not going to make way for a new eBike. It was in perfect technical condition and had been customized for Roland 28 years ago. The bike was given a new life as an eBike thanks to the retrofit with the Pendix eDrive. From 01.01.2021, everything was ready and he could start commuting. At the same time, it was also a test for man and machine, as this year's winter could not be described as mild. However, lots of snow and icy temperatures didn't bother the rider or the Pendix bike. On 11.02.2021, 1628 km had already been pedaled. Read Roland's experience report for yourself.
In January 2021, Alf from Ritzelzeit dared to experiment with commuting in freezing temperatures and lots of snow. He commuted 550 km in one month on his Pendix beach cruiser. His conclusion: "If you trust your own ability, equipment and clothing, there's no reason not to ride."

Tina from Zwickau made good resolutions at the beginning of the year. She wanted to cycle to work more often from spring onwards. She had a Pendix drive system fitted to her well-preserved branded bike for her plans. We asked her to record her first few weeks in a video diary for you. The result is lots of great impressions and useful tips for switching to bike commuting. We are curious to see if Tina inspires you too and look forward to your feedback on YouTube or Facebook.
