Questions about the Pendix.bike PRO app

Where can I get the app?

You can get the app for your Google Android operating system at https://android.pendix.app or for your Apple iOS operating system at https://ios.pendix.app.

How do I get a user name and password for the app?

When you start the app, you will be asked for a user name = email address and a password. You can create these access data yourself. Click on the button below "Do you need a Pendix account? Registration". Then please enter your e-mail address and password including password confirmation. You will then receive an email from us with a verification code to the specified email inbox. You must enter this verification code in a final step.

Where can I enter the verification code?

You want to start the app and can no longer find the input field for the verification code?
Start the app and go to "Do you need a Pendix account? Registration". In the new window you will find the item "Enter verification code" at the bottom right and click on this item. Now just enter your email address and the verification code and click on "Confirm".

My password is not working?

If you want to start the app and have forgotten your password, you can set a new password by going to our website https://portal.pendix.group/authentication/lost-password, for example, and clicking on "Reset password" after entering your email address.

How can I connect to the app?

Bluetooth can be activated and deactivated using the on/off switch on the Pendix. Prerequisite: The ePower has been switched on and the illuminated ring is active. For manual Bluetooth activation, the following steps must be performed:
1. Turn the support level on the ePower to "Smart"
2. Press the On/Off switch for 5 seconds. The light ring begins to pulsate red, this means the ePower is ready to connect to the app.
3. Search for, select and connect the ePower in the app. If automatic Bluetooth is already activated in the ePower, the ePower does not pulsate red, but is ready to connect to the app as soon as the battery is switched on. Please do not establish the connection via the on-board Bluetooth menu of Android or iOS. This may result in the connection in the app no longer being possible.

What can I do if I have connection problems?

In the event of connection problems with the Pendix system, briefly switching flight mode on and off on the cell phone can help. This automatically resets the Bluetooth connection. Then please start another connection attempt in the app.

What can I do if I can't find a Pendix system in the app?

With some mobile phones and depending on the operating system, allowing access to the phone’s location is necessary. The Pendix system can only be found via Bluetooth if location sharing for the app is activated in the operating system settings.
Please also check whether you have already paired the Pendix system with the operating system. You can find this connection under Settings / Bluetooth of the operating system. Please delete this connection and only ever connect via the app.

Why don’t I get an update for the Pendix system?

This can have several reasons:
1) Your Pendix system  already has the latest update
2) The app does not have access to the phone’s memory.
Depending on the operating system, you may need to first save the update to your phone's memory before transferring it to the Pendix system.

How can I register as a service partner?

You can find all the information and benefits on our website https://retailers.pendix.de/

Despite registering as a service partner, the service partner functions are not visible?

Depending on the constellation, it may take a while before you see the service partner functions. You can speed up this process by clicking on "Logout" in the menu and logging in to the app again.

What does blue flashing on the ePower mean?

If your ePower only flashes blue and white briefly, then you have just disconnected or connected to your battery via the app. If your ePower only flashes blue, there is an error in the system. Use our Pendix.bike PRO app and find out what the problem is in the "Diagnostics" section under "Bike". There is usually also the "More information?" section, which helps you to solve simple problems yourself. In our video you will also find useful tips on how to proceed in the event of a blue flashing light. Watch the video here.

The message "Your Pendix does not support all functions of the app." appears in the app. What should I do?

This message appears if the software on your ePower is older and, in particular, the display of the charge status of the ePower in the app is not supported.

The "Update firmware" menu item is missing in the app.

This menu item is missing if the software on your ePower is older and does not support the update functionality.

The "Driving profiles" menu item is missing in the app.

This menu item is missing if the software on your Pendix is older (applies to ePower 300 and 500) or does not support the driving profile functionality (applies to ePower 150). The driving profiles function is only supported by motors that have a serial number with the first two digits beginning with greater than or equal to 18 and in conjunction with an ePower 300 or 500 with USB connection. If the menu item is still missing for you, please check under the menu item "Update firmware" whether both the battery and the motor are up to date with the latest software version.

Every time I start the app, I have to connect to the ePower manually, even though 'automatic connection' is set in the app. What is the reason for this?

Could it be that you have not given the app access rights to the memory? Only then can the app remember the battery.

The app crashes when you click on "Update firmware".

Please uninstall the app on your cell phone and reinstall the Pendix.bike PRO app from the Play or App Store.
